About
Precision fasteners, designed in plain English.
BoltGen AI is an AI-powered fastener design studio. Describe the part you need — a socket cap screw, a hex bolt, a wood screw, a nut, a washer or a concrete anchor — and the studio turns your description into complete engineering parameters you can refine with sliders, dropdowns and live previews.
What the studio does
Every design is rendered as an interactive 3D model and a dimensioned 2D blueprint that update as you edit. You can set thread standard and pitch — metric, UNC or UNF — along with nominal diameter, lengths, head and drive geometry, tolerances, materials, coatings, seals and specialty features such as self-drilling points, timber milling sections and expansion anchors. When the part is right, export a watertight STL for 3D printing, a STEP solid for CAD and CNC machining, or a PDF datasheet with the full specification sheet. A standards compliance check reviews each design and can suggest fixes for geometry that would be hard to manufacture.
3D preview
Real recessed drives, helical threads and tapered points.
2D blueprints
Live dimensioned cross-sections at real scale.
Production exports
STL, STEP and PDF datasheets in one place.
Compliance review
Standards checks with one-click corrections.
Who it is for
BoltGen is built for mechanical engineers, product designers, makers, workshop owners and small manufacturing teams who need a specific fastener quickly and cannot wait on a catalogue or a CAD session. It suits 3D-printing hobbyists iterating on a bracket, engineers specifying a non-standard thread for a prototype, and fabricators who need a dimensioned drawing or a STEP file to send to a machinist. Hobbyists can start free; professionals who design every day use BoltGen Pro for unlimited designs and exports.
Who builds it
BoltGen AI is built by a small independent team of mechanical engineers and software developers. The geometry, thread standards and tolerances are modelled on published engineering standards, and every release is logged on the Updates page so you can see exactly how the tool has grown. Feedback from users directly shapes what gets built next.
